Dan is an associate professor of Management at Cal State East Bay. His research areas include: Human Resource Management, racism and prejudice, social hierarchy maintenance, and religiosity/spirituality. Dan is also the cofounder and Vice President of Alinea Group, and works with an array of private, public and non-profit organizations on HRM issues (Selection, Organizational Assessment, T/D). Dan holds a Ph.D. in social/industrial/organizational psychology from Howard University. He is published in Human Organization, Personnel Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Ethics and Behavior, Equal Opportunities International, Management Research Review, Intelligence, Military Psychology, and Skeptic.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
