About The Event
In this dialogue, CCARE’s founder and director, Dr. James Doty, will ask Andres Edwards about his life’s work and what role compassion may have played. This event is an hour-long dialogue followed by questions from the audience. The talk will be recorded and posted to CCARE’s YouTube Channel and website several weeks after the event.
Stanford Bookstore will have copies of The Sustainability Revolution, Thriving Beyond Sustainability and The Heart of Sustainability available for purchase at the event. Book signing will also take place after the event.

About Andres Edwards
Andres Edwards is an educator, award-wining author, media designer and sustainability consultant. He is founder and president of EduTracks, a firm specializing in developing education programs and consulting services on sustainable practices for green building and business initiatives. His work includes developing exhibits and public education programs for municipalities, colleges and businesses.
He has worked as producer, exhibit developer, and consultant for projects in natural history, biodiversity and sustainable community for companies and towns throughout the US and abroad.
He is author of The Heart of Sustainability (2015), Thriving Beyond Sustainability (2010), The Sustainability Revolution (2005) and co-author with Robert Z. Apte of Tibet: Enduring Spirit, Exploited Land (1998).
Mr. Edwards has given radio and television interviews and lectured and presented seminars about his work at conferences, universities, and for businesses and community organizations. He lives in northern California.
Registration
Registration is required for access to seating before the event starts. Non-registrants are still welcome to attend. Depending on space, any available seats will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis once the event begins.
Doors open to registrants at 5:45PM.
Parking
Cubberley Auditorium is located just off the Main Quad, in the School of Education, next to the clock tower at the intersection of Escondido Mall and Lasuen Mall. Parking is generally free on campus after 4pm; however, please read signs carefully to avoid citation. Park either on the main Oval, or the Memorial Lot just north of the Memorial Hall on Memorial Way, or South of the campus union at Mayfield Ave.
Disability-Related Accommodations and Services
Disabled parking is located at the top of the Oval (the end of Palm Drive). Additional disabled parking is located at the end of Panama Mall, near the Nitery.
The main entrance to the Cubberley Auditorium is equipped with a power-operated door, is accessible via a pathway on the southwest corner of the building (across from the Clock Tower). Another accessible entrance is located on the southeast side of the building via a ramp. Once inside the main entrance, the elevator is located to the left and provides access to all floors (B, 1, 2, 3).
