The Compassion Education at Stanford CCARE’s Compassion in Healthcare team includes physicians and psychologists with experience teaching compassion-based practices in healthcare settings. Dr. Diana Adams will be teaching Compassion Cultivation Training for Physicians and Psychologists – learn more about her here.
Who is this course for?
This course is specifically designed to support physicians and psychologists who want to engage compassion for themselves and improve their relationships with others. For this session, registration is limited to physicians and psychologists. This course is approved for 16 CMEs.
A note for other healthcare providers: CCARE offers Compassion & Wellbeing in Healthcare once a quarter and is open to all healthcare providers. The course is approved for 12 CE credits. Physicians and psychologists who are not seeking CME credits are welcome to take Compassion & Wellbeing in Healthcare if it better fits their needs or schedule.

What is Compassion Cultivation Training for Physicians and Psychologists?
Compassion in Healthcare for Physicians and Psychologists is an 8-week course with insights and techniques from psychology, neuroscience, and contemplative practice. The course integrates evidence-based meditation techniques, interactive discussions, and lectures as well as real-world exercises to put learning into practice. It offers a way of coping with the suffering we witness and experience in our work and private lives.
