Education has been a central component of the work at CCARE since its founding in 2008. Over the years, CCARE has continuously improved its training initiatives based on research findings and insights, resulting in programs that have had a profound and transformative impact on participants’ lives. Cultivate a Compassionate Heart is an 8-week journey where participants will deepen their self awareness and access to compassion, as well enhance their emotional intelligence, self-reflection, meditation, and active listening: skills anchored in evidence-based practices. The program combines contemporary psychology and scientific research with contemplative techniques.
Participants in the CCARE Compassion Lab will be equipped with evidence-based tools to navigate life’s complexity with resilience, clarity, and purpose. Upon completion of this 4-month immersive training, they will not only understand compassion intellectually, but embody it in ways that enhance personal well-being, relational depth, and professional leadership.
Design Empathy workshops focus on the principles of sustainability, regeneration, and resiliency, providing design thinking scenarios for role playing between teams. The goal of each program is to bring out individual’s highest capacity as team members, and to then unify different team’s diverse concepts into one successful final project. The morphing of group contributions reinforces unity and fosters gratifying and lasting impact.
Between 2020 and 2023, each participant in CCARE’s Applied Compassion Training program was guided through a process that supported the design and delivery of a Capstone Project. In order to meet the program requirements, projects needed to be delivered or implemented in workplace environments like hospitals, offices, classrooms, online via podcasts or workshops, or in a community or volunteer setting.
