Jennifer Stellar is a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Berkeley. She studies the physiological underpinnings of compassion and examines what traits encourage or discourage compassionate responding. Jennifer’s work is published in a number of peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and Emotion. Her recent work on social class and compassion has been featured in The New Yorker, Time, and USA Today.
