We are delighted to welcome Erika Rosenberg, PhD, back to CCARE as our new Director of Community and Belonging. Erika has deep roots in the CCARE community. She co-created Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) with Thupten Jinpa and others during CCARE’s early years and was one of CCARE’s founding teachers.
In this role, Erika will strengthen community across CCARE’s educational programs, build connections with Stanford colleagues engaged in compassion-related work, and create opportunities for participants to bring compassion into everyday life. This fall, she will also launch a free community practice gathering, offering an inclusive space for reflection, connection, and shared practice.
Erika brings more than 30 years of experience spanning emotion science, contemplative practice, and teaching. Her work focuses on helping people better understand themselves and one another, deepen connection, and reduce suffering.
Beginning in January 2027, Erika will also serve as CCARE’s Director of Compassion Education, helping guide and strengthen CCARE’s educational programs.
Please join us in welcoming Erika back to the CCARE community.
