“The Science of Compassion: Origins, Measures, and Interventions,” which took place July 19th to 22nd, 2012 in Telluride, Colorado, was the first large-scale international conference of its kind dedicated to scientific inquiry into compassion. The conference convened a unique group of leading world experts in the fields of altruism, compassion, and service to present their latest research. This talk was part of the panel “Origins and Conceptual Models of Compassion” by Stephanie Brown, Ph.D.
Finally we have some hard science in the West on the subject of compassion; long missing from academic studies and value in our culture! Thank you CCare for making these wonderful presentations available on the web!
